A few months ago we bought a milking doe named Mariposa. She was Nigerian Dwarf and Nubian so she was much taller than our girls will be. She milked well and was really sweet but she kept jumping our fence! Once she jumped and got stuck hanging there by her leg! We returned her and after I got back from my trip this week, we traded her for a Nigerian Dwarf, Zoey, and her baby girl that we named Oakley. Zoey is a mess on the milking stand. She kicks, she has smaller teets than Mariposa did and she tries to lay down! Haha Poor Ange has to hold her legs and keep her from laying down the whole time! Team work, right?! We are determined though! Zoey and I are gonna be best friends and she is gonna be excited to milk everyday. We will get there.
